Do you know if your domain name is about to expire?
Your domain is not just a combination of letters. Just like a business at a physical location, your domain has grown roots in that little section of cyberspace. Your customers have it bookmarked. Industrial directories, blogs, and other sites have linked to it and are sending you traffic. The search engines have assigned value to it – link popularity, PageRank, the domains age, and other factors. If you lose it, you’ll also lose valuable traffic and credibility in the search engines.
If you don’t know when you domain expires, I suggest you find out right now. Go to Whois and enter in your domain name next to the WHOIS Lookup and hit Go!

Next, scroll all the way down to the bottom on the page, and you’ll find detailed information about the domain. This is what you are looking for -

As you can see, our domain has been registered through 2017. Knowing when your domain expires is important. There are people who make a very good living at scooping up expired domains and reselling them for a profit or use them to create their own website.
You registrar should send you a notification that your domain is about to expire, but its best not to rely on this since the email could get caught up in a spam filter. Most registrars will give you a ‘grace period’ after your domain expires, but they are not legally obligated to do this. Check out How Expired Domains Work.
Registration is inexpensive, usually between $10-$20 a year, and I recommend that your domain is always registered at least 2 years out. This is considered a “signal of quality” to Google. It shows Google that you’re invested in your domain and it’s not some throw away spam site. Don’t play games with your domain name, it’s too important!

This is really a helpful tool to use, it keeps one up to date with their domains, I couldn’t think of anything worse than not remembering when your domain is going to expire and then it does and you loose it, maybe forever.

I always pay my bills in time, so it never had the chance to expire. But it’s a good point, cus many people may not pay attention to this matter.

Why not pay for several years at a time for instance. Then you might get a good rebate. Whois gives you about 50% on a 10-year order.

Good post! I plan to move into this stuff after I’m done with school, as most of it is time consuming. It’s a great post to reference back to. My blog needs more time to gain in popularity anyway.

Selling products as an domain reseller is a great way to make money. For one thing, you get to earn money from the products without having to fulfill them yourself or deal with customer service issues. Nothing is better than that! The returns are usually higher than with Adsense, provided you’re able to find an offer that converts well with the people who visit your website.
Here is some caution we all need to look out for!!
The beautiful thing about a good domain name is that every domain name is unique and can be a sustainable competitive advantage even for the “little guy”.
But beware, I do put a word of caution out into the community that there are a lot of registrars that when you type in the name to see if it is taken, they immediately register it for themselves (if you don’t). This is a disgusting practice.
When I started blogging I never really thought of buying my own domain. I just wanted to write and blog all my ideas, aspirations, dreams and anything that are happening to me.
Plain and simple, isn’t it?
For A long time no but now things are moving on smoother then ever. Just passing on this Info to anyone who is interested. Thanks

Additional features that you should include when making your pitch to potential customers include the 24/7 customer support, where the purchaser can have constant access to live help whenever needed. Also, hosting plans that will enable the user to benefit from unlimited data storage and usage ensures that there will be no nasty surprises when the bill comes do every payment period.

Whoa! This blog looks just like my old one! It’s on a completely different subject but it has pretty much the same page layout and design. Wonderful choice of colors!
