Twitter Search: How it can be useful

I’m a North Dakota native and am caught up with the news about the Fargo flood. I have many friends sandbagging at this moment, and being forced to evacuate their homes. Because I was wishing I could help or at least know the status of the region, I checked out Twitter search. Right now I’m watching the tweets roll in about the Fargo, North Dakota flooding. at http://search.twitter.com  I simply type ‘Fargo’ and all the tweets that are Fargo related display. I’m learning almost to the minute information. Since I need to focus and get back to work, I want to talk about how you can use Twitter Search for your benefit.

1. Reputation management: Search Twitter for your name or business. You can see what people are saying about your services. This can help to understand your performance and the perception of your brand.

3. Write better blogs: If you write a business blog and sometimes feel as though your topics are forced or bland, Twitter search can help you find exciting things to post about.

During the writing of this post, 31 new tweets were written about ‘Fargo’. That real-time information is pretty amazing and you can harness the feedback from Twitter search for better online promotion.
