One Way to Build Links to your Site
The rules of link building change as fast as, well, Google says they do. The one thing that has remained constant is the benefit of having pages link to you that are closely related to your site’s topic. There are many ways to search for these links, but here’s one I’ve found to be pretty effective.
You’ll want to use an excel spreadsheet to keep track of everything. Next, choose your top 5 -10 keywords. Let’s say one of your keywords is “metal stamping”. Go to Google and search for this: metal stamping “add url”.
Google will return sites that are about metal stamping and also have a place to add your url. The next thing you need to do is go to all these sites, I usually look at the top 20, and see if any are places you want to link to you!
This is where your spreadsheet comes in. Copy and paste the names and links to these sites in your spreadsheet. Now it’s time to do more searches. Use your next keyword with “add url”. Keep going through the list until you’re done with all your keywords.
When you’re finished, you should have a nice list of sites to submit your site to. If you’re feeling really ambitious, you can try matching your keywords with other phrases such as “submit your site”, “add your site”, and “add a link”.
