Balance Between Branding and Search Engine Optimization

Filed under: General,Industrial B2B Marketing — Julie Heltunen

Are you considering a Search Engine Optimization Program? Here is one thing that you should think about before you go crazy and change all of your Title Tags:

How important is your keywords and how important is your brand name? Do you want your brand name on every page? Do you want your brand name first or do you want it at the end? What term has more weight for you and for your clients?

At Ecreativeworks, we put the brand name first in some instances and last on some in a Title Tag. At times when characters seem to out-weigh the company name, we might drop the name in the “inner pages” of the website. But we usually always put the company name first in the Meta Description.

As you are beginning your SEO campaign, I hope your search engine specialist will ask you about your company name and your policy for listing it on your page. It shouldn’t matter what order the company name falls into in the Title Tag. You should get the same results.

The key is a balance between your branding and the search engine optimization techniques. Reinforce what is important to you as a company.
