A Friendly Reminder to Proceed with Caution on the Internet & Responding to Emails
In the last couple of days, a few of our clients have contacted us about an email they received. It was about a Search Engine Marketing Firm that specialized in International SEO for various companies in over 20 different countries.
This sounds great! Especially with International Marketing being a new topic and area of interest for many Industrial Companies. We did a little research after the increase interest and found that the website wasn’t 100% sound proof.
The website was pretty new to the world wide web. It didn’t have any PageRank, back links, or security for credit card transactions. The content it provided contradicted a lot of our well respected resources like: Google, SEOmoz, Matt Cutts, WebMaster World and Search Engine Watch.
Wanting to be proactive and provide a heads up to our many readers - we wanted to post a quick reminder:
- Check your sources.
- Don’t respond to emails that seem fishy or are solicitations directly to you.
- Double check that the website is secure before you make an online transaction.
- Never give out information such as your social security number.
- Research the company or person online using one of the Search Engines. Determine if there are any other web users talking about them.
- Do not become lazy in your safe Internet practices, just because you use the Internet every day.

Eeeek. That’s sketchy. Thanks for the call to awareness. With all these internet practices popping up here and there it’s nice to know what’s true and real and what could be fraud.
Cool post.
Sincerely,

Hi..
Thank you for sharing that spam email and the way you are educating people about the false emails is examplry. We hope the post above has helped quite so many companies are looking for SEO services, so they may opt to the relevant and appropriate SEO firms. I think, while choosing an SEO Company, the following will be studied before making a final decision:
checking the SEO Company backgrounds, their knowledge in this existing sector, know how and grip on the market, their own website strcture, rankings and page rank, age of the company for instance, for how long they would be the part of this specific industry, their previous, present and upcoming clients, testimonials, and while checking and making up your mind, after studying their customer support the communication department and the last one, do they speak the same language do you speak, I meant to say, Do they understand from the tinniest information?
I have studied your check-list too, That looks good, and impressive as well.
Be safe and have a good weekend ahead.
Kind regards - Tina
