3 Easy Ways to Get More Local Traffic

1. Submit your site to GoogleLocal www.google.com/local/add This is a free service offered by Google. People will find your business when they use Google Maps. Google also features business at the top of their results for many local searches.

2. Submit your site to Yahoo! Local www.listings.local.yahoo.com/ Choose from three different plans. We recommend the “enhanced listing” for $9.95 a month. It’s cheap and you could add photos and a detailed description. You can save 30% for the first 3 months until September 30th!

3. Optimize your website for local traffic. Here’s an easy change you can make that will bring in more local traffic. First, make sure your address is listed on the footer (bottom) of every page. Next, make sure it’s optimized! Here’s an example:

Poor Address:
Jim’s Laser Cutting
3699 Nicollet Ave S.
MPLS, MN 55402

Optimized Address:
Jim’s Laser Cutting – professional laser marking & engraving in the Twin Cities
3699 Nicollet Ave S.
MPLS, MN 55402

Proudly serving all of Minneapolis, Minnesota and the south west metro including Richfield, Edina, and Bloomington
